‘Breathtaking and magical.’ Words our guests use to describe this stunningly beautiful part of Mid-Wales. That’s why this area is hugely popular with walkers, cyclists and motorcyclists, and you can walk Glyndwr’s Way National Trail right from our garden gate.
The Vestry is an excellent base for exploring Dyfi Valley, Snowdonia National Park, Glyndwr’s Way, Cambrian Way, Tal-y-Llyn Railway, Clywedog Reservoir, the Vale of Rheidol Railway and the world famous Devil’s Bridge falls in the Vale of Rheidol. All within easy reach by car from The Vestry.
UNESCO designated the Dyfi Valley a Biosphere Reserve – an outstanding natural environment, internationally recognized for its nature reserves, ancient woodlands and wildlife areas. It’s one of only six in the UK.
It’s a short drive to Machynlleth for the Centre for Alternative Technology and Corris Caverns – discover Wales underground and Wales above ground, there’s something for everyone come rain or shine at King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Corris Mine Explorers, Corris Craft Centre and the Dyfi Distillery.
And there’s miles of perfect golden sandy beaches along the west Welsh coastline from Aberdyfi (15 miles) and Ynyslas, to Tywyn, Barmouth and Harlech.
Escape to a traditional Welsh cottage in magical Mid-Wales.
